Welcome from the Florida Eco Treks Founder:

about us overview frameDear Adventurers,

Since early childhood, I have forever been totally amazed at the Great Outdoors and its natural communities.  This lifelong infatuation helped lead me to launch Florida Eco Treks, a one-of-a-kind collection of guided adventures deep into the natural splendor of Central Florida.

These 5 adventures or “Eco Treks” take young and old through trails, small creeks,  rivers, marshes, forests, lakes, lagoons and more.  Everything is provided for adventurers to Hike, Bike, Kayak, and Team Paddle in a very large Canoe.  These fun activities are perfect ways to experience our tours that range from the easy, to the long and physically demanding.

There are too many people on the Planet Earth that never take the time to notice the beauty and magnificence of Earth’s natural flora and fauna.  And it’s really a stretch to say that enough of the human race takes the time to occasionally imagine or view images of Earth suspended in outer space.  That’s when we can truly appreciate the magnificence and wonder of its life, and the ecosystems that keep it healthy.

I would like to, even in a very small way, inspire people (after touring in such beauty) to feel humble enough to do what it takes to help conserve more of the wild things and untamed areas left . Our guides are friendly and knowledgeable about the native wildlife, forest and flora seen during our Eco Treks. They will also share the rich Indian and early American history that is part of this area of Florida.  Ancient pottery chip finds are possible on one of our Wilderness Treks, which pass through historical Indian Fields.  Remnants from the old 1912 Cypress Union Railroad are seen on the other Marathon Trek.

And I am so thankful that my 60 plus years of venturing into the waters and lands of Florida,  have kept me healthy enough to take this opportunity to provide Florida Eco Treks.  I’m also thrilled that I can still do a lot of its guiding.

Sincerely,  (and thanks for caring)
Rod Lee  (long time resident of East Central Florida and Melbourne)

I’d love to share with you some of my risk taking experiences in the Fla. Wilds.       Maybe catch me at a good time.  ph.:  321-960-2457
